Chris and I have lived next door to Eileen for over twenty years and Ulysses Road won't be the same without her. I'll miss our little chats out front and the sound of her trying to entice her beloved 'Torty' and cat back into her garden from ours. I'll miss the sound of her using a foot pedal to pump up the tyres of her beloved Mini which is no mean feat for an eighty-year-old. Jim of course was always summoned to do any repairs and managed to keep it going well beyond it's self-life. Jim it seemed was always there when she needed him and I think Eileen was always there if he needed her, especially after his heart surgery. Eileen was a very private person and spoke little about herself, always asking how we were and wanting to know how our son Christian was getting on. She did however speak fondly of James and was so pleased he had found a lovely lady to share his life with. Rest in peace dear Eileen. We'll miss you.
Dearest James, your mother was an incredible woman and will forever live in our memories. Always remember never forget. All our love,
I have happy memories of earlier times, when my mum & dad and I would visit Ulysses Road regularly for Sunday tea with your parents.
